Happy New Year......

Ahhhhhh Christmas is over finally. And now I'm looking forward to a new year. We had fun over the holidays. It started on Christmas Eve with a great night out with the beautiful June Sarpong and a couple of her girlfriends from London who were fabulous too. We went to a bunch of different parties which were so much fun it was hysterical. We drove in convoy around the Hollywood Hills rather like a scene from the movie Swingers popping in and moving on and we were all home by midnight cozy in bed and we said hello and Happy Christmas to some early birds in England before going to sleep.
Christmas Day was supposed to be rainy all day so we hunkered down but in the middle of the day the sun burst through and we all dashed up to the canyon for a quick hike before our feast. At five we headed over to Emma Parker Bowles' beautiful new place high up in the hills. We had the best meal, full turkey dinner with all the trimmings and we laughed all evening and almost into Boxing Day. It was perfect and we were so grateful to spend it with friends. When you can't be with the ones you love, love the ones you're with.....luckily I already loved them.
When we got home Clare called both her boys and said goodnight. It's easy being away from people when you have trust. I think you have to have trust to make a good relationship. I trust whoever is in my life never to intentionally and consciously do something that they know would hurt my feelings, I trust them not to lie to me, not to betray that trust. Giving somebody my trust is as valuable as giving my love.
So we are off to Barbados for the holiday of a lifetime. And then on to New York to promote Paul's new book which is already number four on Barnes and Noble website. Hurrah.
Wishing you all a Happy New Year and see you in 2009.......
