Just Do It.....

You know sometimes, if you sit around and think about stuff too much, you can really make yourself miserable. With Paul writing his happiness book right now, it has given me a lot of food for thought, especially about how to be happy. One of the things that's important to remember when you're feeling a little blue is to DO SOMETHING, just move, get out and about, change your state and location. "Action may not always bring happiness; but there is no happiness without action."
That's what we do. The minute that little voice starts up, telling us negative things to bring us down, we shut it up by jumping in the car and going to do something. Movement definitely helps...Jump up and into something, everyday I read this quote to start it off well - "Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover." Mark Twain.
That always makes my day go better. If you don’t take action you’ll be missing out on a lot. Including many moments, people and experiences that can bring you a lot of happiness Another important ingredient to happiness is to remember that it's a choice. It really is true that "Most people are about as happy as they make up their minds to be." SO we wake up and choose to be happy. You can choose to find happiness in small, everyday things. You can choose to interpret what happens in a positive way or in a negative way. "Very little is needed to make a happy life; it is all within yourself, in your way of thinking." Marcus Aurelius Antoninus Your choices control much of how much happiness your will find and create in your life so try and make them good positive choices.
The last ingredient is to stay in the moment. You only have now. So live more in the now, focus on the present moment and today. Think and worry less about yesterday and tomorrow or you might miss a great deal of happiness that is available to you right now. "When one door of happiness closes, another opens, but often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one that has been opened for us." Life is happening now, don't miss a second of it living anywhere else in your head.
So we had a very HAPPY weekend. Alex left for London for a while so Clare and Paul spent the weekend joined at the hip, they went to see Green Zone which they loved, they hiked, Clare rode, Bentley and Sam played until they were exhausted (pictured is generally the position they were in for the entire time they're together) they had lunch at Soho House with Clare's beautiful friend Natasha, they went to a BBQ at Vinnie's and saw so many friends, it was perfect, absolutely perfect and we're so happy it's ridiiculous xxx
